Let’s boogie. I am a Filipino American artist based in Richmond, Virginia. Painting is a means of documenting conversations with myself, cataloging obsessions only I can see. The approach and motivation is play, with self exploration a fringe benefit. What keeps me honest, and what I hope the work conveys is - do not sacrifice your playfulness.

I began painting in 2023, and I’ve no formal art education. I feed off the fight between my ignorance and compulsion for order. All the fun to be had lives in that liminal space, and it has been my springboard for exploration. My shallow understanding, backed with an unwillingness to research allows me to create innocently. That play is a fragile, beautiful thing.
